In this art-filled week, you will discover a variety of skills to build up to creating your own graffiti-style mural. You will explore various street artists and look at a range of Graffiti Tags, fonts and styles all the while exploring which suit your personality and artistic style the best. You will use a range of media throughout the week, such as charcoal, collage, chalk pastels, pencils, felt pens and paints. Please note that you will not be using spray paints.

Graffiti-Style Arts Week

In this art-filled week, you will discover a variety of skills to build up to creating your own graffiti-style mural. You will explore various street artists and look at a range of Graffiti Tags, fonts and styles all the while exploring which suit your personality and artistic style the best. Monday

·What is Graffiti?

·Debate - art or vandalism?

·Explore different fonts to create own Graffiti Tag.

·Create a stencil and print.

 

Tuesday

·Portraiture inspired by Pure Evil and Bambi using mixed media.

·Installation group sculpture session inspired by various artists.

Wednesday

·Photography experiment inspired by Mark Jenkins.

·Mixed media artwork based on Conor Harrington using photos of Marlborough college.

Thursday

·Creating your own stickers.

·Explore different backgrounds and textures to work on.

·Begin to plan and start final piece.

 

Friday

·Create final Graffiti-style piece from your learning.

About Angel

Angel is a Wiltshire-based artist training towards a degree in Fine Art, with aspirations to become an art teacher. Her passion lies mainly in drawing, painting and life drawing, in which she creates the majority of her artwork. Angel's love of the arts includes music, dance and theatre. A huge aspect of her practice lies in experimentation, with one of her most memorable murals involving painting over a double-decker bus. She continually strives to explore across the artistic genre, finding inspiration from Classical to Contemporary Art. Angel regularly attends lectures and exhibitions to broaden her inspiration and knowledge, as she aspires to pass on her enthusiasm for the arts to all of her students.
