Basket Making with Willow

No current schedule for this year

Course Notes

Explore the craft of basketry using willow. Baskets have been used by humans for thousands of years.

On this course you will start by making a round base and then learn different weaves to make a useful basket of your choice. This could be a basket to keep things in, harvest from the garden or hedgerows, serve or display food, take shopping, throw your waste paper in or a linen basket for those dirty socks! You can even add a handle if you choose.

There will be lots of naturally coloured willow from which to make your beautiful, sustainable and unique basket.
