367-370 TUTOR: Kit Major

On this Multi-Sport course, you will not only take part in many different activities, but you will also receive guidance to improve your knowledge and skills around each sport. With the emphasis on fun, this course will have something for everyone. Just some of the sports included are Basketball, Badminton, Touch Rugby, Volleyball, Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee and Water Polo.

Course Notes

 

This course has been adapted and updated to cater for an introduction into the widest possible range of interests and will cover a broad selection of indoor and outdoor sports, making the best use of the magnificent sporting facilities of Marlborough College. These sports below will be managed into a weekly schedule with a planned session for each.

During the week, you will complete a selection of two/three activities each day from the following list:

  • Badminton
  • Basketball
  • Handball
  • Indoor/outdoor cricket
  • Soccer/5 a-side
  • Rounders
  • Swimming
  • Tennis/Table Tennis
  • Touch Rugby
  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • Volleyball
  • Water Polo

Please wear suitable clothing for indoor and outdoor sports including a swimsuit and towel. A list of the schedule will be handed out at the start of the week.

Comfortable and warm clothing is important as well as a good pair of trainers/boots.

About Kit

Kit is a sports coach at Marlborough College with a wealth of experience working with children across all age groups in sports and outdoor activities. Kit is heavily involved in coaching and running teams in Rugby, Football, Hockey, Netball and Cricket. He has also worked as an instructor at Marlborough Summer School where he led groups of young children in a variety of activities. Previously Kit was an instructor at an outdoor adventure camp where he led groups of children through a wide variety of outdoor challenges, activities, and games.

He has a passion for creating a fun and enjoyable environment for young people through sport and believes in the social and physical benefits that sport brings to young people.
