This course is designed to be accessible to any level of
experience or ability in art. The only requirement is an interest in drawing.
Using miniature Georgian and Victorian miniature furniture made into maquettes
of rooms, the unique experience of scaling up a Georgian study or Victorian
reading room is offered.
Everyone will be provided with an A4 sketchbook, drawing
materials and a frame for a final piece.
Each day there will be the opportunity to draw with a
different media; Pencil, charcoal, biro, coloured pencil and oil pastel. You can
spend as long as you need on any drawing or medium if you wish to really focus.
Visual Research
Look at drawings you love and begin to define what it is
you like about them, so you may have a level of intent in your work. Some
artists and painters who use drawing: M C Escher, Antoni Tapies, Ian Mckeever,
Cy Twombly, Paula Rego, Jenny Saville, Jean Michel Basquiat, Jamie Hewlett.
