BIG ART

This all-encompassing week will look at a range of artistic skills every day to widen your skill as an artist and get to grips with new media. A great opportunity to learn something new or perfect a skill, looking at the masters to new and cutting-edge artists while working to scale.

(The following agenda is flexible and includes time for students to take their own ideas forward)

 

Monday - Sketching in pencil

·Drawing workshop with various sketching techniques.

·Outdoor observational sketching

·Still life study in detailed pencil using a grid.

 

 

Tuesday - Watercolour painting

·Watercolour workshop and techniques

·Outdoor photography session and landscape inspiration.

·Landscape painting in watercolour.

 

 

Wednesday - Charcoal studies

·Various techniques using charcoal and drawing styles.

·Masters study in sanguine and various papers.

 

 

Thursday - Painting with acrylic and oils

·Introduction to using both paints and styles.

·A self-directed painting using the medium and various tools.

 

 

Friday - Final piece

Reflecting upon the week, create a final piece to showcase your skill!

About Angel

Angel is a Wiltshire-based artist training towards a degree in Fine Art, with aspirations to become an art teacher. Her passion lies mainly in drawing, painting and life drawing, in which she creates the majority of her artwork. Angel's love of the arts includes music, dance and theatre. A huge aspect of her practice lies in experimentation, with one of her most memorable murals involving painting over a double-decker bus. She continually strives to explore across the artistic genre, finding inspiration from Classical to Contemporary Art. Angel regularly attends lectures and exhibitions to broaden her inspiration and knowledge, as she aspires to pass on her enthusiasm for the arts to all of her students.
