Marlborough College Summer School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff, volunteers and visitors to share in this commitment. We actively listen to all children and always take seriously what they tell us. Our aim is for all children to enjoy their time at the College and feel safe and secure.
Staff and children will know how to report any safeguarding concerns during their stay and a team of safeguarding specialists will be available for the duration of Summer School to deal with issues as and when they arise.
All staff working at Marlborough College Summer School and the School of English and Culture will be vetted by our safer recruitment practices. All staff will have undertaken relevant safeguarding training both online and in-person before commencing employment.
Our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is reviewed annually, in line with key statutory guidance, primarily Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
The College works with the Wiltshire Safeguarding Vulnerable People Partnership, and other external statutory agencies, including attending meetings of the Wiltshire Safeguarding Forum. The College contributes to an annual schools' safeguarding audit carried out by Wiltshire Council.
