Tilly Farr is once again the Team Leader of Junior Troopers. She has been a part of Marlborough College Summer School for the last three years and looks forward to using this experience to plan an exciting time for all. Tilly graduated with an Early Childhood Studies BA Hons Degree in 2012 and currently works within the Early Years Team at Cheltenham College Preparatory School. Tilly believes that during the holidays all children should be able to relax and unwind in a safe environment, allowing them to make the most of all the activities on offer. Her specialism is having fun!
MCSS: Tilly, what is the highlight of Marlborough College Summer School for you?
This is a difficult question for me as there are many highlights of Marlborough College Summer School but after much thought I have decided it's the jolly social atmosphere. Everyday there is the opportunity to meet new people and have some good conversations.
MCSS: What can the Junior Troopers look forward to this year? Do you have anything new planned?
This year is going to be extra special for Junior Troopers as we are moving our base and are now going to be located in central Court. I am looking forward to having lots of outdoor games and activities to really make the most of this.
MCSS: Let us into your secret! How do you manage over the 4 weeks of Summer School more than 170 different children aged between 3 and 6 years?
Good question, this would not be possible without my enthusiastic team. The Junior Trooper team devote themselves for the whole four weeks to keeping the children safe and happy, allowing them to make the most of all the activities on offer.
MCSS: Tell us about your day job. Where can we find you for the other 48 Summer School free weeks of the year?
I currently work as a Reception teacher at Cheltenham College Preparatory School. Fortunately, I finish just in time for Summer School!!
MCSS: When not in the classroom, how do you like to spend your spare time?
In my spare time I always love to carry out some adrenaline filled activities. Whether it is whitewater rafting, paint balling or gorge walking, I like to make the most of my days off.
See our Junior Troopers pages to find out more and book your child a place at Summer School 2018.
