"I came to Summer School last year with my friend Esme and we
did Outdoor Adventures in the morning and Tennis in the afternoon. Registration
in the morning was easy and quick and then we went off to our first course.
Outdoor Adventures was great! I made friends with all the other people on the course, I never got bored and there was always something to get stuck into. On the first day, we did team building activities and got to know each other. We had to work together trying to work out the solution to problems. As the week went on we did more activities like climbing and water sports. Esme and I fell in a lot and got very wet, but it was still great fun!
There was a short walk across to the boarding house where we
had lunch. Lunch was really nice and there was different foods every day. They
also catered very well for allergies, because I'm gluten-free.
Tennis was also really fun, we learned different skills every day and the coaches were really helpful and friendly. It was easy to make friends with everyone and the course was for all abilities. On the first few days we worked on basic skills like forehand, backhand and serves. Towards the end of the week we played more matches and fun doubles tournaments and games. I loved how it was relaxed, but I still learned a lot at the same time.
The whole week was really fun, I made a lot of friends and I would definitely go again. Esme and I really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend it for anyone, there is something for everyone to get involved with!"
