This fun and inspiring course is aimed at those who
enjoy taking photographs on their digital cameras, iPads or smartphones, but
who now wish to explore different genres or types of photography. You will
learn how to create pleasing, striking and well-composed travel, nature,
landscape and non-studio portrait images. The course theory and techniques will
be illustrated by examples of the tutor's wildlife, landscape, portrait and
travel images from his expeditions around the world. You will have an outdoor
photo session each day to take genre themed shots around the College and its
surroundings, as well as a trip to the Cotswold Wildlife Park to practise the techniques
and theories within the different genres covered on the course.
The course theory and techniques will be well illustrated by
examples of the tutor's wildlife, landscape, portrait and travel images from
his expeditions around the world.
We will have an outdoor
photo session each day to take genre themed shots around Marlborough
College and its surroundings, plus a trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park on Day 4, to practise the techniques and
theory covered within the
different photo genres covered
on the course.
To get maximum benefit from course, participants must be familiar
with and able to operate their basic camera/iPad/phone controls.
Please bring your own camera.
