Beginners Piano
Have you often thought that you would like to learn the
piano? Perhaps you had lessons as a child and regretted giving it up for sport
or other interests. It is never too late to have a go. Playing the piano is
fun, fascinating and a wonderful way to commune with the Great Composers. Some
even claim it may help prevent the onset of Alzheimer's. So, come along and
try. You will not be disappointed.
This
course is designed both for complete beginners and for those who have had a
little experience. We will explore a bit of theory, a lot of playing - don't be
alarmed, there will be familiar tunes - a bit of history of the keyboard and of
music, you will also be played to too! For the first part of each session
we'll be together and after break everyone has a piano to play and individual
tuition. What will you need? Fingers and thumbs, listening ears, a
pencil, a rubber and a folder.
