Caleidoscopio Italiano: Advanced Italian

626 TUTOR: Alessandra Murgia

This advanced level course combines aspects of Italian culture with conversation, grammar, reading and listening activities for the connoisseur of Italian. This beautiful language is rich with colour and complexity and you will refine and build your understanding of sophisticated language structures like the imperfect versus the pluperfect, the second and third conditional, the gerund, the passive form and indirect speech. Fascinating cultural topics featured within the course include the movie, Mediterraneo, Puglia's Legend of Cristalda and Pizzomunno, the fashion of Luisa Spagnoli and the linguistic cleansing that occurred in Italy between 1922 and 1943. The course is designed at C1 level for the upper-intermediate to advanced student already accomplished in Italian.
