Charlie is a lover of the game of golf with over 25 years' experience within the sport. He represented his home county of Somerset and played individually at the highest level of amateur golf before turning professional in 2010. Charlie pursued a career as a playing professional for several years. Despite having achieved some success as a player he decided to become a PGA Professional in 2015. Charlie began training as Assistant Professional at Ogbourne Downs Golf Club. I moved on to Orchardleigh, Bath, Stockwood Vale and Tony Valentine Golf Centre before returning to Ogbourne Downs as the Head Professional in March this year. Charlie is enormously passionate about coaching. Golf is often thought of as a demanding and technical game; Charlie strives to create an environment of learning which simplifies the game. The overwhelming goal for him is that his pupils enjoy the experience. He looks forward to welcoming you to Ogbourne Downs Golf Club in the Summer.
