Every day you will receive vocabulary sheets including key words and
common sentences,
practice
your French skills with a variety of exercises and role-plays,
French
culture is intertwined in all the activities including music and films.
A
tablet or smart-phone is highly recommended and please bring a notebook and
pens.
Day
1:
Ice-breakers
to encourage people to get to know each other and develop a team spirit.
Revision of basics including introducing yourself, the difference between 'tu'
and 'vous', and Frenchétiquette. A quiz
based on Parisian and French culture.
Day
2:
Travelling
across France. Discover tips to book a plane ticket. In small groups organise
your itinerary based on the rich material provided (discussion in small groups
to determine date, time, price etc.). Each group will prepare and present a
role-play
Day
3:
Planning a
city break in the South of France. Work on asking for help and directions in a
town/city environment. Exercises will follow.
Day
4:
Visiting a
wider region - you will need to rent a car and chose 2 or 3 places of interest.
In small groups, organise a tour and present it to the rest of the class.
Day
5:
A French
film is at the centre of this session. Some selected scenes will give a basis
for debate which should show-case your progress and your increased confidence
in French
