Course Notes

This course is designed for those with no experience of stained glass work. The course will have a maximum of 6 participants to ensure individual attention.

We will spend Monday discussing stained glass, practising how to safely cut the glass to match your pattern accurately, the use of the grinder to prepare the glass for copper foil, soldering and finishing. Monday will finish with you making a small suncatcher to practice these techniques.

On Tuesday we make a larger suncatcher to a design that fits within a rectangular box to ensure accuracy which will help when you make the lamp shade.

Wednesday to Friday is spent making the lamp shade with Friday afternoon ending with a display of all the lamps.

All equipment and materials are supplied.
