The aim of this course is to learn the basic techniques of floral design - from colour combinations and botanical names to the mediums and mechanics behind the finished pieces. Whether you have a keen interest in the beauty of flowers or you are looking to start your career in floristry - this course is for you! We will be getting hands-on and creative but also delving into the science behind the blooms. You will enjoy a visit to a beautifully abundant garden, sketch a creative design and take all your arrangements away with you to admire in the comfort of your own home.

About Larrie

Larrie is a florist of 13 years and director of Feather Moss Flowers Ltd based in Marlborough. She has hosted many workshops, from flower crowns to Christmas wreaths and installed huge floral displays for many weddings and events. She has two border collies and enjoys observing the native species of flora on her walks. She is passionate about using sustainable mediums and locally grown materials. She loves making her work fun and can't wait to share all the trade secrets with you!
